The stone Roosevelt Arch has framed the northern gateway to Yellowstone since 1903, its rough basalt carved with the promise "For the Benefit and Enjoyment of the People". Cars roll under it, elk sometimes graze the verge, and the hills of Gardiner rise behind. The National Park Service keeps this camera on the historic entrance and shares it with everyone.
