Cleveland is one of the most restless volcanoes in the Aleutians, a near-perfect cone rising from uninhabited Chuginadak Island. On clear days, snow streaks the dark rock in long ribbons while clouds tear off the summit like breath. Nobody lives out here — only the instruments of the Alaska Volcano Observatory / USGS keep watch, and you're looking through their eyes.
