This camera watches a northern royal albatross nest at Taiaroa Head on the Otago Peninsula near Dunedin, New Zealand. The headland holds the only mainland breeding colony of these seabirds, managed by the Department of Conservation and streamed with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Across the season it follows a single nest, from egg to a chick that slowly grows toward its first flight.
