This live camera watches the volcanic ground of the Reykjanes Peninsula in southwest Iceland, filmed in high definition. Since 2021 the peninsula has entered a new eruptive cycle, with repeated fissure eruptions near Grindavík and the Svartsengi geothermal area feeding rivers of lava across the fields. When an eruption is active you may see glowing vents and steam; between events the frame shows a quiet, dark landscape, weather permitting.
